Designed for the Loft at Home Farm, a tranquil bedroom set within the property’s original hayloft, the rug’s linear relief draws inspiration from the rhythm of timber floorboards, exposed beams, and shifting natural light. Inspired by the subtle precision of Agnes Martin’s pencil lines, each line is wire-cut by hand to create a restrained textural pattern across the rug’s surface.

The John Pawson collection of rugs for Elte draws deeply for its inspiration on the architect’s own home in the Oxfordshire countryside – from the warm tone of its stone, to the geometries of its timbers and brickwork.
